#TGPNPC Two Cremes: Day 29 of The Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi,
For the two cremes prompt, I fell back on my most bought brand: Colorbar. Check out my stash here.
Colorbar Royal Velvet and Famous Plum dotted with A-England Lady of the Lake and Tristam
This is Royal Velvet from their Pro range. It is a dusty blurple creme. The brushes in this range are thick. The formula is rich and leaves no streaks. Most of them are one- or two-coaters. A boon for nail art lovers.

I paired it with Famous Plum from the Quick Finish Range. This is a lavender creme. This is two coats. The formula was problem-free and dried fast as claimed.

I dotted it with A-England Lady of the Lake (purple holo) and Tristam (blue holo) which kind of got lost in the colours :(

#TGPNPC Ugliest: Day 28 of The Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi lovelies,

For this prompt, I used an old Avon polish I had bought waaaay before I joined the polish lovers' world.
This is Shimmery Peach from its Speed Dry collection. It is a nude orangey-peachy colour.

Here's a sunlight shot. There's a slight shimmer visible in the bottle which is not visible IRL.
The polish does nothing for my colouring. The formula was streaky (could also be due to its age). I tried to salvage it by layering a glitter polish and stamping on it. But even that turned out to be a mess. What do you think?

#TGPNPC Prettiest: Day 27 of The Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi,

Today I bring to you one of the prettiest polishes I own. And yes, it is green-blue and gorgeous!
Another Galaxy by Glam Polish

This is Another Galaxy by Glam Polish, multiple sizes of metallic sapphire and matte turquoise hex with matte turquoise stars and large turquoise holo dots in a mint crelly base.
Another Galaxy by Glam Polish

These are three coats each. The glitters, even the large ones, came out easily. Though I did place them strategically as my nails are pretty curved and the large glitters stick out. I 'glassed' this manicure with a thick coat of Seche Vite.

Here's a macro shot so you can see the glitters more clearly. Excuse the bubbles. The humidity in my city has messed up my SV. I fell head over heels for this polish. Did you like it? Don't forget to leave a comment.

#TGPNPC What Was I Thinking Buying It : Day 26 of The Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi lovelies,

I rarely regret buying a polish because I check out a lot of swatches before I buy something. However, we all go wrong sometimes. And my mistake turned out to be KPT Blood as Thick as Gold.
KPT Blood as Thick as Gold (cold colour) stamped
KPT describes it as "a beautiful rich blood red thermal polish transition to a peach that is filled with gold glass flecks with the additional micro gold shimmer."
KPT Blood as Thick as Gold and Colorbar Mauve Like Me
This polish didn't come cheap and the warm colour looked awful on me. And, I expected the cool transition (seen in  to be 'blood' red as described. But the colour above is what I got. Like I said, my city remains hot most time of the year, so I tried to make it work by layering it over Colorbar Mauve Like Me.
KPT Blood as Thick as Gold and Colorbar Mauve Like Me stamped
I did a skittlette by painting KPT BATAG on the ring finger and painting the other nails with the mauve creme. I then layered a coat of BATAG over the pinkie and pointer.
KPT Blood as Thick as Gold and Colorbar Mauve Like Me stamped
I also stamped over the ring finger with a crackle design from XL A plate using Revlon Sugarplum. Though I fully expected to hate this manicure, strangely I liked it because the layering brought out the pink shimmer in BATAG which added a little zing to the manicure. As you can see in the pictures, there's no colour transition during the cold.
While I wonder why I bought this, I now know I can salvage this polish by layering it over another colour. Which one do you suggest? Don't forget to comment below!

#TGPNPC Solar/Thermal: Day 25 of The Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi lovelies,

The solar/thermal trend in nail polishes picked up in earnest last year. I got a couple of colour-changing thermals from Polish Me Silly (formerly known as Lush Lacquer).
This one is Grape Intentions, which is fuschia/magenta when warm and a gorgeous deep purple when cold. It contains a mix of hot pink and purple holo glitters in various sizes.
Polish Me Silly Grape Intentions color-changing thermal stamped with XL C plate
You can see the transition in the photograph above and below.
Polish Me Silly Grape Intentions color-changing thermal
Full disclosure: I tried out this manicure in winter but never posted it online. There is no other way I could have shown you a thermal polish as it is so hot in my city that even the free edge of my nails maintain the warm colour, so no transition. Not even a mild one :(

Warm: Polish Me Silly Grape Intentions color-changing thermal
The pink (when warm) in this polish looks a bit garish with my skin tone. So I stamped a flower design from XL C plate on it using Revlon Grape (Now, that's an ultimate match). And it totally balanced everything.
Cold: Polish Me Silly Grape Intentions color-changing thermal
I kept busy dipping my fingers in cold water to see the transition of colours like everyone else who owns a thermal (don't deny it). I wish winters would get here fast so I could try out thermals again. What do  you think of this? Do leave a comment below.

#TGPNPC You Could Wear It: Day 24 of the Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi lovelies,

I got a chance to wear two gorgeous polishes for this challenge.

China Glaze Water You Waiting For stamped with Color Club Blue Heaven
This is China Glaze Water You Waiting For (translucent blue jelly with aqua and blue micro-glitters) from Cirque Du Soleil collection. It is a gorgeous, gorgeous, GORGEOUS polish that any lover of blue or green must definitely possess.
China Glaze Water You Waiting For stamped with Color Club Blue Heaven

I stamped it with Color Club Blue Heaven, a blue holo from its Holo Hues collection to match it to my scarf (in the background).
I think I matched it perfectly. What do you think? Don't forget to leave a comment!

Sorry, there doesn't seem to be a link to other participants for this challenge.

#TGPNPC Polish trend that died before you wore it: Day 23 of the Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi lovelies,

This challenge brings me to a trend that I was not crazy about to start with, but indulged in because I was excited about my entry into the nail art world.

Yes, CRACKLE! This is a rose crackle or shatter polish from BR - a Korean polish firm available in small shops around town - layered over a generic white. I made the amateur mistake of buying not 1, not 2, but 10 colours. In my defence, they were quite cheap. However, I never liked the look. And I still don't. I just took one picture and removed the manicure as soon as possible. Considering I have 10 of these polishes, I need to think of a way to use them up. Any suggestions?

#TGPNPC Untried Stamping Plates: Day 22 of the Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi lovelies,

Of all the nail art styles out there, I love stamping the best. So, it goes without saying that I own quite a few plates. And, of course, there are many that I have not used.
Stamping: XL C plate with W7 Salt N Pepper, Milani Silver FX

This one is an amba (mango/paisley) design from XL C plate. I got this and two more XL plates through Kejal from nailartandthings.blogspot.com. Thank you Kej, these plates are really good.
Stamping: XL C plate with W7 Salt N Pepper, Milani Silver FX
I used different polishes on my nails:
Pinkie: I dabbled 2 coats of Milani Silver (silver hexes in clear base) from their Jewel FX collection. Boy! I was blinded by the glaze. It shone like an armour. I have wowed to paint all my nails with it one day :)
Ring and Middle: I used a generic white
Pointer: I used W7 Salt N Pepper, a creamy white base with black matte glitter, which looks like, what else, salt and pepper of course :D
This look caught a lot of attention. What do you think?

#TGPNPC: Untried Art Supplies: Day 21 of the Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi fellow lacqueraders,

This challenge stumped me a little as I have very few nail art supplies and I thought I had already shown you what I had. I still decided to check my box once more to see if there was something I overlook, and out came a pack of gorgeous water decals.

I got a pack of golden water decals called Gold Clouds (now discontinued) from Bornprettystore, and never tried them on. This is my first attempt at a water decal and I was surprised by how easy it is to use.
The base colour is Rust Lust, a dusty rose creme, from Colorbar's Quick Finish range. The contrast of gold over pink was pretty eye-catching.

#TGPNC Gradient: Day 20 of the Neverending Pile Challenge

Hi lovelies,

Here's moving on to Day 20 of the Neverending Pile Challenge. Here's what I did...

Gradient using Pretty and Polished Dresden Doll Diamond and Tears of Dionysus
Both the polishes are from Pretty and Polished's Gems 'n' Gellies collection. The green is Dresden Doll Diamond, a gorgeous deep green jelly packed with green glitters, while the purple is Tears of Dionysus, a royal purple jelly polish named after an old Greek Story about the gem Amethyst.
Gradient using Pretty and Polished Dresden Doll Diamond and Tears of Dionysus
I was hopeless in catching the beauty of this polish. I took several photographs but most of them were either blurred or colour inaccurate. The purple tricked my camera into believing it's blue (even in these pictures). ToD is a rich purple and DDD is a jewel green. I caught many people staring at my nails, and some even complimented the look.
