Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi lovelies,

Today is St Valentine's Day and I have a beautiful manicure just for the day.
I've realised that the only way I can use all the polishes I own is using the skittlette manicures made famous by Marta Wuz of Chitchat Nails.

Ain't it pretty? I used a couple of Different Dimension polishes for this look.

On my pinkie, I layered Different Dimension Cranfairy, a raspberry jelly with magenta, raspberry and hot pink glitter, over 1 coat of Colorbar Exclusive 48, a creme red.

I put down a base of a beautiful light gray creme from VoV (name unkown) and layered Different Dimension Scarlet & Grey Remix, a glitter topper in grey, white and metallic red hexes and circles of various sizes, on my pointer finger.

I layered a thick coat of Different Dimension's Imitation is the Most Sincere Form of Flattery, a glow-in-the-dark polish with micro glitters, and stamped using the single rose pattern from a Red Angel plate.

I stamped my thumb using the full nail heart design from another Red Angel plate. Since this image was small, I filled in the gaps with the metallic red glitter from the Different Dimension topper.

I really like how the roses turned out. This manicure was a hit in real life, how about the virtual one? Don't forget to leave a comment on whether you like it or not!

Candy Canes and Gingerbread Man

Hello fellow lacqueraders,

It is red, white and Christmassy. Yup, candy canes it is.

Day 3 challenge hosted by Pink and Polished and Overpolished is Candy Canes. This combined beautifully with the Crumpet Nail Arts' Day 2 challenge of Candy Canes and Gingerbread Man as well as Plump and Polished's Candy Cane challenge.

The candy cane on my pinkie has melted ;) thanks to a highly uncooperative XL stamper. I somehow seem to manage better with the Konad stampers. Strange. Has that happened to you?

Candy canes seem to be an integral part of Christmas. But they are not easily available in India, if it is available anywhere at all. Every time I see pictures of them, I wonder how they taste. I imagine them to be cinnamony or pepperminty. (Is there such a word?). How do they taste?

Even gingerbread can't be found in bakeries here. Though to be frank, there aren't very many bakeries in my city. But with the Indian market opening up to foreign goods, I hope to see them soon sometime :)
So, did you like what I did? Don't forget to leave a comment :)

Polishes used:
OPI Alpine Snow (white creme base)

Colorbar Exclusive 48 (red swirls)
Bourjois Paris 1 seconde Rouge Obscure (gingerbread man)
