Twice the fun: Snowflakes and Snowfall

Hi lovelies,

Once again, I get to combine two challenges in one. This one meets the Snowflake theme in the Getting Ready for Christmas Challenge as well as the Snowfall theme by Californails's Totally Doable Challenge.

The base is the gorgeous China Glaze United, a rose mauve textured glitter. I stamped snowflakes with designs from the Bundlemonster Holiday Plates collection.

It was a very delicate and glittery looking manicure. I liked it, did you?

Colours used:

Base: China Glaze United

For stamping:
Polish: Konad White
Plates: Bundlemonster H02

Getting Ready for Christmas: Blue and Silver

Hi lovelies,

This post meets the Blue and Silver theme from the Getting Ready for Christmas challenge. It gave me an opportunity to wear a beautiful blue matte polish.
This one is I'd Rather Be With Blue, matte light blue with a beautiful silver shimmer.

I wish I had taken a close up of the polish before stamping on it. It is a gorgeous light blue. And matte, which means, quick drying ;)

I stamped this using stars from Winstonia plate and a Revlon Chrome polish. Hope you liked it.

Polish used:
K B Shimmer I'd Rather be with Blue (matte light blue)

For Stamping:
Polish: Gilded Chrome from Revlon's Top Speed range

Double Christmas challenge: Red, Gold and Decorations

Hi lovelies,

The fourth theme in the Getting Ready for Christmas Challenge is Red and Gold. It also meets the Decorations theme from Totally Doable Nail Art Challenge. Red is not really a colour I sport often, I it is sort of a given to wear it around Diwali and Christmas as red is considered auspicious in most Asian cultures.
With the influx of texture polishes, I have a choice of interesting red polishes. I used a gorgeous red as base for this:

The base is Zoya Chyna, a gorgeous dark red with fine red glitter. It looks awesome with and without topcoat. I used China Glaze Passion, a gold metallic polish, to stamp on the decorations. If you do not have Passion, you really need to get your hands on it because it is simply perfect for stamping!

Here's a close up of one of the designs:

And the other:

Honestly, I loved my nails after this. The polish, the stamping... everything was looking just so good! That's my opinion. What's yours? Don't forget to leave a comment.

Polishes used:
Zoya Chyna (dark red with metallic red glitter)

For stamping:
Polish: China Glaze Passion (gold metallic)
Plates: Bundlemonster H03 (Hanging decorations), Bundlemonster H15 (Chinese lanterns)

Getting Ready for Christmas: Under the mistletoe

Hi lovelies,

The next Getting Ready for Christmas Challenge was Mistletoe. This one also fulfills the Nature theme thrown by the Totally Doable Nail Art Challenge. I have to say this challenge stumped me coz I had no idea what a mistletoe looked like. So I looked up some nail art online and this is what I came up with.

Though I have a sneaky feeling this is more holly than mistletoe... am I wrong?
The polishes used here are Zoya pixie dusts in Chita (green) and Tomoko (silvery nude). I stamped on it using Zoya Holly (yes, I see the connection). The berries were dotted using OPI Magazine Mouse (textured sparkly red).

I really love how this manicure looked. What do you think? Don't forget to leave a comment.

Polishes used:
Zoya Chita (green)
Zoya Tomoko (silver nude)
OPI Magazine Mouse (red berries)

Glitter Overload

Hi lovelies,

Today's title reveals what it is all about. Glitters! And what a sparkly one this is. And, it fulfills the criteria for Getting Ready for Christmas Challenge's Glitter Overload theme as well as the Totally Doable Nail Challenge's Lights theme.

This is Toast-ess With The Mostest created by Christy and Valesha from Peachy Polish for K B Shimmer. It is a clear glitter topper loaded with circle and hex glitters in shades of gold, silver and pink to mimic champagne. It is a glitter bomb.
Though one coat is enough, I layered on two for these Disco '82 nails. Thus, fulfilling the TDNC's Lights challenge. I used Colorbar XXXX as the base but it is all covered up! Just look at the holo-ey shine.

Frankly, this is waaaaay too much for me. I do not like busy polishes much. So I was sceptical when I saw the bottle. But boy, one non-loaded coat was enough for me to fall hard for this polish. It complements all colours, light and dark. The micro holo glitters fills up the gaps left by the large glitters beautifully. This one is a definite winner.

Product: Toastest with the Mostest
Brand: K B Shimmer (Indie polish)

Colour: Clear base filled with gold, silver and pink gliters in holo circles and hexes
Finish: Gritty
Qty: 15 ml

Getting Ready for Christmas!

Hi lovelies,

December heralds the beginning of Christmas season. And I am ready to face two nail challenges: Getting Ready for Christmas Challenge (Phew!) and the Totally Doable Nail Challenge (Amen!)
For this I combined both challenges. GRCC's first challenge is Not yet, but almost! and TDNC listed Pattern.

Since I had just received a consignment from one of my favourite indie polish maker Different Dimension, I just had to, had to sprinkle some magic using Cranfairy! I used a design from Bundlemonster's Holiday collection which to me represented ORNAMENTS!

I have Not yet put up my Christmas tree, but I have almost decided on the ornaments. So this pattern fulfills both my challenges.  And now for the gorgeous Cranfairy in all its lonesome, winsome beauty.

Cranfairy is a squishy raspberry jelly polish with hot pink, burgundy and fuchsia glitters. It does not have holo glitters yet it is a definite beauty. Two coats did the trick for me. It did dry gritty, so this is with two super thick coats of Seche Vite (Ah, what would we do without it).

A close up of how the polish looks on your nail. It kind of looked like a squishy watermelon to me. Is that black glitter I see? I really cannot figure out. And one more photo showing its squishiness, aided by my trusted SV, of course.

So what do you think of the polish and my take on the challenges? Do leave me a comment. I read them all.
As for the giveaway I talked about it my last post, I am working out something interesting for you all. So, stay tuned :)
