Totally Doable Challenge: Sweets

Hi lovelies,

Since I am behind on posting the challenges, I am going to keep this really short. This manicure meets Californails's Totally Doable Challenge's theme: Sweets. Since no plates have Indian sweets (jalebis, anyone?), I made do with the foreign version.

By now you must have guessed that pixie dusts or liquid sands or textured polishes are my new love. It combines matte and glitters. What's not to like about it ;)

Colours used:

Zoya Chyna (Dark Red Pixie Dust)
OPI Stay the Night (magenta glitter in black base)

For stamping:
Polish: China Glaze Passion (Metallic gold)
Plates: Winstonia W117 (sweets), Bundlemonster H15 (Chinese lanterns)

Twice the fun: Snowflakes and Snowfall

Hi lovelies,

Once again, I get to combine two challenges in one. This one meets the Snowflake theme in the Getting Ready for Christmas Challenge as well as the Snowfall theme by Californails's Totally Doable Challenge.

The base is the gorgeous China Glaze United, a rose mauve textured glitter. I stamped snowflakes with designs from the Bundlemonster Holiday Plates collection.

It was a very delicate and glittery looking manicure. I liked it, did you?

Getting Ready for Christmas: Blue and Silver

Hi lovelies,

This post meets the Blue and Silver theme from the Getting Ready for Christmas challenge. It gave me an opportunity to wear a beautiful blue matte polish.
This one is I'd Rather Be With Blue, matte light blue with a beautiful silver shimmer.

I wish I had taken a close up of the polish before stamping on it. It is a gorgeous light blue. And matte, which means, quick drying ;)

I stamped this using stars from Winstonia plate and a Revlon Chrome polish. Hope you liked it.

Polish used:
K B Shimmer I'd Rather be with Blue (matte light blue)

For Stamping:
Polish: Gilded Chrome from Revlon's Top Speed range
Plate: Winstonia 107

Double Christmas challenge: Red, Gold and Decorations

Hi lovelies,

The fourth theme in the Getting Ready for Christmas Challenge is Red and Gold. It also meets the Decorations theme from Totally Doable Nail Art Challenge. Red is not really a colour I sport often, I it is sort of a given to wear it around Diwali and Christmas as red is considered auspicious in most Asian cultures.
With the influx of texture polishes, I have a choice of interesting red polishes. I used a gorgeous red as base for this:

The base is Zoya Chyna, a gorgeous dark red with fine red glitter. It looks awesome with and without topcoat. I used China Glaze Passion, a gold metallic polish, to stamp on the decorations. If you do not have Passion, you really need to get your hands on it because it is simply perfect for stamping!

Here's a close up of one of the designs:

And the other:

Honestly, I loved my nails after this. The polish, the stamping... everything was looking just so good! That's my opinion. What's yours? Don't forget to leave a comment.

Polishes used:
Zoya Chyna (dark red with metallic red glitter)

For stamping:
Polish: China Glaze Passion (gold metallic)
Plates: Bundlemonster H03 (Hanging decorations), Bundlemonster H15 (Chinese lanterns)

Getting Ready for Christmas: Under the mistletoe

Hi lovelies,

The next Getting Ready for Christmas Challenge was Mistletoe. This one also fulfills the Nature theme thrown by the Totally Doable Nail Art Challenge. I have to say this challenge stumped me coz I had no idea what a mistletoe looked like. So I looked up some nail art online and this is what I came up with.

Though I have a sneaky feeling this is more holly than mistletoe... am I wrong?
The polishes used here are Zoya pixie dusts in Chita (green) and Tomoko (silvery nude). I stamped on it using Zoya Holly (yes, I see the connection). The berries were dotted using OPI Magazine Mouse (textured sparkly red).

I really love how this manicure looked. What do you think? Don't forget to leave a comment.

Polishes used:
Zoya Chita (green)
Zoya Tomoko (silver nude)
OPI Magazine Mouse (red berries)
